About us

The Old Courthouse Minmi is a historic courthouse located in Minmi, New South Wales.

The Courthouse was built in the late 1800s on land gifted by ‘Coal Baron’ John Brown and was government-owned until the 1950's.

The property also retains its original exercise yard and three gaol cell doors. Two of the cells were converted into a commercial kitchen when a fine dining restaurant opened in 1992, and weddings were held at the venue in the early 2000's.

It has been stripped back to its original paintwork and is now The Minmi Courthouse Restaurant.
